“AM-HI-CO” Triple Review
First off I would like to thank AM-HI-CO for approaching this website about submitting three of their company’s incense products for reviews: Atomic Bomb, Ice Bud, and Spike 99 Ultra.
Atomic Bomb is the dynamite in the trio, packing more power and potency than any “Atomic(S)” reviewed to this day. The sticker denotes that it permeates a strawberry scent–I found it to be smooth and subtle, but more of a classical aroma than one that resembles strawberry. This discrepancy is easily overlooked moments after burning Atomic Bomb. The aroma induces a heady sensation and stimulation coupled with relaxation. Personal trials conclude that the aroma lingers for less time than the other two (@ approximately 40 min.), but its pleasing potency makes it pop out.
Ice Bud is comparatively longer lasting and gravitates more toward the relaxing end of the spectrum although mild stimulation can still be noted. The amiable aroma lasts close to an hour, after which the feelings of relaxation are overshadowed by comatose as the mild stimulation wanes. The aroma itself is relatively smooth when burned, more so than Atomic Bomb, though it also lacks any distinct scents other than the aroma of the herbs themselves
Spike99 Ultra is probably the diet soda of the group, slightly lower in potency than Ice Bud and lasts about the same short-lived blast of Atomic Bomb. The scent is relatively standard as are the other two but doesn’t hold up quite as well.
The price tag for each of these tallies in at $33.99 for 3g. It’s a bit steep for most, though their site currently lists their inventory as “buy one get one free,” making Atomic more than worth the tag ($17/3g, ~$5.67/g). If you go for an AM-HI-CO blend, I would again highly recommend placing Atomic Bomb first in line.
